The Imagine Peace And Plenty Philosophy

“WHEN YOU BEGIN TO SEE THAT YOUR ENEMY IS SUFFERING

imagine peace and plenty philosophy

THAT IS THE BEGINNING OF INSIGHT”
Thich Nhat Hanh

After the Buddha’s enlightenment, he laid out his vision, echoed in the words above of Vietnamese Peace Activist Thich Nhat Hanh.  The Buddha offered those who would follow in his footsteps a path to awakening into clear recognition of our true “Self”.  That path encouraged daily meditative withdrawal from the world.  But it also taught how to fully embrace the life we find ourselves experiencing on this strange little rock as it spins around the sun.  The essence of the Self the Buddha spoke of is not a separate independent self.  Rather it is a Self that acknowledges “interdependence” – no separate “I” – all life connected in a magnificent Unity of Being.  Thus, if we would strive for true Self Realization, then in our approach to business, politics, family life – and every other aspect of our existence – we will do well to gear what we think and say and do toward ever deepening acknowledgement that “All Is One”.

With this recognition in mind, once the bills are paid the real fun begins!

If you too happen to be an old Unrepentant Hippie, chances are you still put on the Beatles now and then to sing along as John Lennon belts out that line from Revolution – “You’re talkin bout revolution, well now, we all wanna change the world…” But John, the Buddha, and anyone else who got to thinking clearly, realized that the final Planetary Revolution would need to be fully non-violent if peace and plenty for all was ever to become a global reality.

In fact, let’s take a brief moment to let John and Yoko remind us what it takes to be a true revolutionay…

A simple formula, yes? To live in a world at peace, first imagine planet Earth as a place of peace and plenty. Then “Think, Eat, Dance, Live…Peace!” However, if we have learned anything at all with certainty, since Vietnam and the start of the rock and roll rEvolution, it’s this:

  • This old world is not going to change spontaneously.
  • None of us can heal this planet all by ourselves.
  • Planetary Transformationthe healing of our Global Heart – is a team sport!

Earlier in this website I introduced you to the Planetary Transformation Team and again I invite you to take one of the self guided free Transformation Team Courses. To join our team – whether or not you actually take the formal course – simply  declare “I too am an agent of positive change!” Once you have affirmed that your life purpose is to foster the healing of our wounded world, the rest of the game is simple, though not necessarily easy:

  • Find your own unique approach to quieting your mind each day.
  • Remember and Remind yourself “I am an integral member of The Planetary Transformation Team.”
  • Start each day with the question “What is my small part today in The Big Plan for bringing into our collective view the world we really want to see?”
  •  Join forces with like minded souls to build a world that works for everyone.

One way to operate as a team member is to implement the Actions Steps suggested at the home pages of “Imagine Peace and Plenty”, “9/11 Truth” and “Rainforest Revival”. Another way is to take the Action Steps requested in the occasional emails you will receive from these sites.  And a third way – a very easy one – to help build the world we all want to live in, is to shop whenever possible via the Imagine Peace and Plenty Sustainability Store.
