The Imagine Peace And Plenty Beneficiaries

THIS IS
Imagine Peace and Plenty BeneficiariesHOW WE GET FROM HERE TO THERE

Materializing a world of Peace and Plenty has two aspects: 1) Deconstructing the nightmare elements of the world in which we currently live, 2) Consciously co-creating the world we now choose to make our planetary home. To promote these processes of deconstruction and reconstruction, Imagine Peace and Plenty will donate 50% of our net profits (from all non Amazon.com sales) to several organizations who share our aim of co-creating a sustainable planet grounded in truth, equality and kindness. These funds will be divided among the four non-profit organizations described below, whose demonstrated work and effectiveness exemplifies our aspirations.

In accordance with the business policies of Amazon.com, earnings from our linkage with Amazon will help us to stay in the black, but will not be included in funds disbursed to our beneficiaries.

Additionally, while Imagine Peace and Plenty heartily endorses the mission and effectiveness of each of the nonprofit groups described below, we in no way mean to imply that the mission and work of Imagine Peace and Plenty is being reciprocally endorsed by any of the organizations which we are donating to financially.

In the 9/11 Truth “Now That You Know” section we introduced you to a 9/11 Truth promoting, powerhouse – the nonprofit organization 9/11 Truth Action Project (9/11 TAP). In appreciation of the growing effectiveness of 9/11 TAP, and to foster its evolving potential, this worthy organization will be one of the Imagine Peace and Plenty Sustainability Store beneficiaries.

Regarding its purpose for being,  9/11 TAP declares: “The 9/11 Truth Action Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to building and mobilizing a global grassroots movement that will expose the truths of 9/11 and create a groundswell of civic support that achieves transparency and accountability for the crimes of 9/11, justice for its victims, an end to unwarranted U.S. military activities, and the restoration of our civil liberties.”

In line with its mission statement, 9/11 TAP presents evidence based research into the nature and purpose of the 9/11/01 attacks. In addition to publishing studies by groups like Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, 9/11 TAP also features articles by distinguished scientists, psychologists, political analysts and others.  Perhaps most significantly, however, 9/11 TAP is promoting the creation of an extensive network of affiliated members and 9/11 Truth Action groups. In the days that lie ahead, 9/11 TAP will be supporting these activist individuals and groups by

  • Developing and distributing informational hand-out materials,
  • Fostering emergence of 9/11 Truth friendly media and a 9/11 Truth aligned congress
  • Coordinating nationally effective Action Step Campaigns

We are confident that all who contribute to the growth of 9/11 TAP will also be further deconstructing a world awash in lies and massive inequities! To donate, volunteer or sign up for the 9/11 Truth Action Project newsletter, link to https://www.911tap.org/join-us/subscribe-to-the-newsletter.

Climate change denial, in its own way, represents commitment to the old world order of death and despair.  Fueled by both the inadvertent spread of well intended misinformation, and the deliberate seeding of malicious disinformation, climate change denial imperils life on our planet right now as well as the life of all generations yet to come.

Numerous organizations effectively promote climate stabilization activism, several of which you can learn about in the Climate Action section of Imagine Peace and Plenty.  However, the approach of Climate Parents is unique in that this group fosters authentic family values – the strengthening of family bonds of affection and cooperation – in the context of serving the cohesion of broader communities and the health of our planet as a whole.

Here is the Climate Parents Mission Statement:

“Climate Parents is a national organization of diverse parents and families mobilizing for climate and clean energy solutions. We harness the grassroots power of parents to influence policymakers for bold climate action. We work for solutions at the local, state, national and international level. We are motivated by love and concern for our kids, and all children. And we believe that parents and families, by the millions, must be a moral and political force to stop fossil fuels, to achieve 100% clean energy, and to build the livable, thriving communities our kids deserve.”

A portion of proceeds from the Imagine Peace and Plenty Sustainability Store will support implementation of the Climate Parents’ mission. Confident that, together with the Climate Parents team, and myself, you too share the desire to pass on a viable world to the next generation when we leave this globe, I invite you to engage with Climate Parents where you live – and to donate financially, using the button above – to support achievement of their vital mission.

Why the GVCP?…

A number of years ago I attended a local conference on the AIDS epidemic in Africa.  Anne Muyanga, who later become my dear friend and colleague, was a presenter at that program.  She told a story that touched, and soon won, my heart.  Anne was raised in Wanyange, Uganda. Tragically, as the AIDS epidemic swept her home town her brother passed away. Shortly thereafter Anne’s widowed sister-in-law died as well.  Left behind to fend for themselves were the first AIDS orphans that Anne cared for – her brother’s two young children.

It didn’t take Anne long to realize that she was not alone in her new role.  All over Wanyange an entire generation of parents with young children was disappearing.  Grandparents and extended family took in the more fortunate orphans.  The less fortunate were left to fend for themselves, often living on the streets – vulnerable to multiple dangers, and at best living without any parental nurturance.

As Anne began to grasp the enormity of the challenge her village faced, she became determined to broaden her sense of family.  Soon she was helping several AIDS orphans to stay in school – raising money for their school books, uniforms and tuition fees, since none of this is free in Uganda’s educational system beyond primary school.  But as noble as this effort was, it only made a small dent in a very large problem that was growing bigger in Wanyange day by day.

Ultimately, Anne determined Wanyange required a community center to serve the multiple social, emotional, economic and educational needs of her community’s orphaned children.  To make this dream a reality she came to America, began working as a nurse’s aide, and sent every penny back home that she could.

In Anne’s spare time she founded the non-profit, charitable organization, the Global Village Children’s Project (GVCP).

That was about when Anne and I met up!

What started out as my cautious offer to lend a helping hand, in some small way, evolved quickly into agreeing to serve on the Board of Directors of the GVCP. That, in turn, lead to my commitment to help Anne and the people of her village build the Wanyange Community Center.  The structure was already emerging brick by brick – when I came on board. And now with your help – we will close in on completion!

And that is where you come in! In addition to making purchases via the Imagine Peace and Plenty Sustainability Store, you are invited to support the Global Village Children’s Project directly by sending your tax-deductible donation made out to Global Village Children’s Project to me directly.

In the Rainforest Revival section of this website we introduced you to “Fundacion OSA” (Organización Social y Ambiental) and the Costa Rica based Rainforest retreat center known as “Guaria de Osa” (in English: “The Orchid of the Osa Peninsula”). Based at beautiful Guaria de Osa, Fundacion OSA (In English: “The Council for Cultural and Biological Diversity”)  is a non-profit organization with active rainforest conservation and cultural heritage projects in Costa Rica and Ecuador. Its US tax exemption status is held under the auspices of the Living Bridges Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 registered organization based in Aptos California, USA.

As detailed at www.guariadeosa.com/osa.html and at http://www.rainforestconservationprojects.org, the activists of Fundacion OSA, who live and work at Guaria de Osa, support

  • conservation projects in Costa Rica·
  • Ancestral land reclamation by the Amazanga indigenous community in central Ecuador and·
  • Cultural preservation efforts among the Sequoia People of the Ecuadorian Amazon area

A unique element of the Fundacion OSA program is their periodic invitation to residents of the developed world to join with the Sequoia Tribe’s Shamans for experiential plant medicine based Rainforest Counsels, detailed here, at the Guaria de Osa retreat center in Costa Rica.

For the very most adventurous among us, there is also an opportunity, under the auspices of Fundacion OSA, to travel directly to Secoya Territory in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Outlined on the Ecuadorian Amazon Adventures pages of the Guaria de Osa team’s “Sentient Experientials” website this cultural immersion journey has the potential to be genuinely life transforming and a source of inspiration for all who are dedicated to Rainforest Revival activism.

Having served as a volunteer for Fundacion OSA for a number of years and in that process getting to know well the organiztion’s director, Jonathon Miller Weisberger – a renowned ethno botanist and the founder of Guaria de Osa – I whole heartedly endorse this organization’s mission and its work.
